Terms of Service

The short version, then the terms.

These are the terms you agree to by installing or using Noteneer. The clauses below say the same thing in the way agreements have to.

Yours to install

On every device you own, for personal or commercial work.

Your notes are yours

We claim no rights over anything you write, ever.

Don't resell it

No repackaging, reselling or bundling it into another product.

1 · Agreement

By installing or using Noteneer, you agree to these Terms, set by Soupler ("we", "us"). If you don't agree, don't install or use the app.

2 · Licence granted

We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use Noteneer on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial work, for as long as you keep to these Terms.

3 · What you can't do

You may not sell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the app or a modified build of it; remove or obscure its notices; or bundle it into a product or service you charge for. Reverse engineering is permitted only where the law of your country requires it.

4 · Your content

Everything you write in Noteneer stays yours. We take no licence over it, and — as set out in the privacy note — we receive no copy of it.

5 · Ownership

The app, its name, its mark and its source code remain the property of Soupler. Nothing here transfers any of that to you.

6 · Updates

Updates are offered under these same Terms unless a newer version ships with different ones, in which case you'll be shown them before installing.

7 · No warranty

The app is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it is free of faults or fit for a particular purpose, and we cannot promise it will never lose data. There's no export feature in this version, so your notes are protected only by whatever standard device backup you already run — iCloud or Time Machine.

8 · Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for lost data, lost profit or other indirect loss from using the app. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by agreement.

9 · Ending these terms

You can stop using Noteneer at any time by deleting it; your notes stay on your device until you do. These Terms end automatically if you breach them, and the sections on ownership, warranty and liability continue to apply after that. We may update these Terms from time to time; continuing to use the app after an update means you accept it.
