We don't have your notes.

Noteneer has no user accounts and no server that stores your writing. This page describes the few places data moves at all, in the order you'd meet them.

Notes stay local

In the app's own database on your device. We never receive a copy.

Passwords in the keychain

Encrypted by your operating system, synced only via Apple’s own iCloud Keychain, released one at a time.

No analytics

No tracking library ships in the app. Nothing counts your notes, opens or keystrokes.

What we collect

Nothing you type, and nothing that identifies you or your device. There is no sign-up, so there is no email address, name or licence key on our side to lose.

Where your notes live

In the app's own local database on your device — nothing leaves it. Note content does not sync between your devices; each device keeps its own notes.

Credentials

A credential note keeps its title, URL and username as ordinary text in the app's local database; the password itself is written only to the system Keychain. It syncs privately between your own devices through Apple's own iCloud Keychain — Noteneer's code never receives, transmits or has visibility into that value. Requiring Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode before a reveal is optional, off by default, and set in Settings.

No network requests

Noteneer makes no network requests of any kind — no analytics, no update check, nothing. The only connection to the outside world is Apple's own iCloud Keychain sync for credential passwords, which happens entirely within iOS/macOS and never touches Noteneer's own code.

Email

If you write to support, we keep the thread until it's resolved and then delete it.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to export or erase on request. Deleting the app removes its local database with it; credential passwords are not removed automatically and will keep syncing across your devices via iCloud Keychain until you delete them there, or delete the credential note first. There's no export or share feature in this version — your notes are protected only by whatever standard device backup you already run, iCloud or Time Machine. Questions go to the address in the footer.

Noteneer

Every note, every small login, kept on your own machine.
