One app for the kinds of small writing that usually end up scattered: reminders, long notes, ideas laid out on a board, code snippets and the little logins you keep in a text file.
Because a password and a meeting note want different things — one wants the Keychain and Face ID or Touch ID, the other wants a page that formats as you type. A single "note" forces both into the weakest common shape.
No — it's for the twenty logins that never justified one. There's no browser autofill and no vault sharing. The system keychain does the keeping; Noteneer does the finding.
Plain-text and Markdown files, yes: File ▸ Import File… on the Mac, or the New note card, turns one into a note. There's no Apple Notes import yet, so those notes start over.
In the app's own local database on your device, and kept in sync across your other devices through your own iCloud account — Noteneer has no server of its own, so we never receive a copy.
Passwords never enter Noteneer's own files. They go to the system Keychain, encrypted by the operating system, and sync privately between your own devices via Apple's iCloud Keychain. Turning on Face ID/Touch ID protection is optional, in Settings. Read the privacy note for the detail.
No accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting. The only network traffic the app generates is your notes and passwords syncing through your own iCloud account — Noteneer itself has no server to talk to, so nothing is sent to us.
Deleting the app removes the copy on that device, but your notes also live in your own iCloud, so they come back if you reinstall, and stay on your other devices. To remove them for good, delete them in the app, or remove Noteneer's data from iCloud in Settings. Share sends one note's text out through the system share sheet, but there's no export of your whole library in this version, so a full copy outside iCloud sync is whatever standard device backup — iCloud or Time Machine — you already run. Credential passwords aren't removed automatically — delete them from Keychain (or delete the note) if you want them gone from iCloud Keychain across your devices too.
iPhone, iPad and Mac — macOS 26 or iOS 26 and later. Notes sync across your own devices via iCloud, and credential passwords sync separately via iCloud Keychain.
